La Fortuna

Sitting between the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, Costa Rica’s landscape is painted with towering mountains and volcanoes, lush rain forests, glistening coastal plains and incredible tropical beaches. Costa Rica is known as an eco-friendly destination that includes adventure, wildlife viewing, relaxed culture and also the safest country in Central America. Costa Rica is also known for its many National Parks. Costa Rica can be visited year-round, but the best times to visit are the end of December to end of March.

The people of Costa Rica are so friendly and welcoming.  This makes Costa Rica a great destination for everyone — families, business trips, milestone anniversaries, birthdays, honeymoons, weddings, and family reunions – the list is endless.

There is something for the active or the relaxed traveler!  So many different activities — Zip-lining through rainforest canopies, horseback riding through the countryside or walking above the forest floors on suspension bridges. These are just a few of the many activities to do in Costa Rica!

The options are endless!

Some of the activities Brynn and I had the opportunity to do on our trip — zip-lining, horseback riding, sailing on a catamaran and snorkeling.  Before my trip last summer with my daughter, I kept saying, “I hope we see some monkeys and sloths!” I was thrilled when we went to Manuel Antonio National Park. So much wildlife – monkeys, sloths, all types of birds (hummingbirds!)  And a beautiful beach, too. I need to go back again!

Costa Rica has many various different accommodations to meet everyone’s budget. There are all-inclusive resorts, private villas with a chef, quaint little B&B’s, beautiful boutique hotels and even tree houses.   Something for all budgets and comfort levels.

Many of my clients will do a split stay – so they can get an opportunity to see more of what Costa Rica has to offer. Where a client stays will depend on what they want to see –the bustling Capital City of San Jose, the volcanoes, wildlife, cloud or rain forests, beautiful beaches or many of the little towns like La Fortuna, Manuel Antonio or Tamarindo. There are many amazing day trip activities offered from many of the various accommodations.

My husband and I went to Costa Rica for an anniversary trip a few years back and we had the trip of a lifetime.  We had the opportunity to visit a few different areas of Costa Rica.  The two pics above are from a couple of the areas we visited.   The town of La Fortuna is right next to the famous Arenal Volcano.  You can see the volcano from town.  My husband and I also enjoyed ziplining and relaxing in the hot springs near La Fortuna.

After La Fortuna we stayed a few days at the RIU Guanacaste — All Inclusive and relaxed by the pool.   It was nice to be pampered and the food was wonderful.  We finished out our vacation in the town of Tamarindo.  The views of the beach from our hotel room in Tamarindo were amazing.  We also loved that we could walk down the beach from our hotel to local restaurants and shops.

Please do not hesitate to contact me for more details of Costa Rica.   I would love the opportunity to customize a dream vacation to Costa Rica for you! I know I can’t wait to go back again!
