Thanks to my grandparents, I was fortunate to spend my childhood traveling the eastern seaboard which always included annual vacations to Walt Disney World. I have so many wonderful memories from those road trips, especially riding Pirates of the Caribbean with my grandfather and Prince Charming’s Regal Carousel with my grandmother. I dreamt of the day when I would be able to take my own princesses to Walt Disney World. 

That dream became a reality in 2005 and 2007, when my girls, Princess Ava and Princess Riley were each just a few months old and I had the chance to take them for their first visits. We were fortunate enough to have many magical visits over the years. Yet as we all know, life gets busy, commitments are plenty and one year blends into the next. 

All of a sudden, those beautiful little ones that you remember only dreaming about are now closer than ever to becoming adults themselves.  You start thinking about all the things you haven’t yet shared with them as parents, all the things you still want to teach them, all the extra hugs you want to savor and you realize that time waits for no one. This is why it is SO important to make the time now, take the time to create memories, share laughs, life lessons and experiences and what better way is there to accomplish that than through travel. 

This year, LBAC Travel will be celebrating our 15th Anniversary and Pixie Dust Planners will celebrate its tenth. Thinking about the families we’ve helped, the moments with my own family over the years…this is the true meaning behind LBAC Travel for my family and me. We are more than “in the travel business”, we are in the business of helping our clients make memories that will last a lifetime. (And how lucky are we to call that our profession?)

I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to take my nearly-grown princesses back to Walt Disney World at the beginning of this year.  We got up early for park openings and stayed up well after park closings, we disconnected from day to day life and reconnected with each other.  We laughed, reminisced about past trips and made so many new memories. Vacations give us the chance to step away with our loved ones from the day to day grind, the day to day challenges that rob us from enjoying precious moments with the ones we love. Vacations give us the chance to relax, refresh and reconnect with the ones we love. Vacations give us the chance to create priceless memories that will last for years to come. 

Life is precious, time passes quickly and it’s so important to take the time and make the memories NOW.   As my grandmother would always say, “don’t put off tomorrow what you can do today..”
