From the moment you walk through the cruise terminal and aboard the Disney Dream, the magic and Disney service begins. Everyone is a VIP when they board the Disney Dream, as Disney Cruise Line Cast Members welcome each family aboard with a personalized greeting and a round of applause. The main atrium on this ship has subtle Disney touches, mixed with a nautical elegance. Each time you pass a cast member, they greet you with a smile… from day one until your last morning! The Disney service we all know and love sets the bar high, but each time I vacation with Disney, they continue to exceed my expectations!

I had the chance to stay in a very spacious, balcony stateroom. There is so much storage space in these rooms! One of my favorite features was the USB ports that were next to the bed. The split bathroom was fabulous and perfect for families who are all trying to get ready for dinner at the same time. In the shower bathroom, the tub/shower combination is great for bathing little ones.

Dining on the Disney Dream is truly a unique experience. Each night, we dined in a new dining room (Disney calls this rotational dining), but the best part was that our wait staff remained the same and came to each dining room with us. Along with main dining, Cabana’s is a buffet that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The fun never stops on a Disney cruise! From activities for the whole family to engage in, to adult-only activities, everyone has something fun to do! The AquaDuck water slide is a huge hit that had both adults and children will ride over and over again! There are so many activities aboard the cruise, during the day we spent time at the hidden gem of the cruise, the Rainforest relaxation room at the Senses Spa and Salon. We even tried an animation class and caught a poolside movie! We tried our luck at some bingo and trivia games! In the evening, there is nightlife for every desire! From a silent disco, to sports, comedy and champagne bars, AND the best part…activities geared toward children & teens in the kids clubs!

On Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, guests can enjoy three beautiful beaches (one is adult-only). From aquatic adventures, to relaxation – a day at Castaway Cay is unlike any other!

Entertainment on Disney Cruise Line is second to none. The theatrics and talent onboard make for incredible shows. My favorite was “The Golden Mickeys”, which was a show that incorporated a variety of Disney characters and taught the lesson to never give up on your dream! Did you know that Disney is the only cruise line to play movies when they are released onboard the ship. For instance, Avengers was the best-selling movie out when I cruised, and was also being shown on the ship! Who does not like fireworks? What about fireworks on a cruise ship? Disney is the only cruise line to have fireworks shows at sea – which were truly magnificent!

One of my favorite features of the Disney Dream (and all Disney ships) is the daily navigator. This schedule of events and activities can be found via a hard copy from Guest Services or through the amazing Disney Cruise Line app on smartphones! Disney Cruise Line offers guests this app for free and guests can chat with one another on the ship, set reminders of activities they do not want to miss and view menus for dining options! With my group, the chat was a great option to communicate with one another, as Wi-Fi packages are an additional fee some guests may not want to incur.

The final night as we packed up our bags, Disney made it incredibly easy to locate your luggage before heading to customs. Each stateroom received cute luggage tags with characters and colors on them. This is how the luggage was located after disembarking the ship. Disney really does think of everything to make the guests’ experience special and one of a kind! Leaving the ship was sad (as always!) but I know that a Disney Cruise is never too far away in my future! Let’s plan your Disney Cruise together!
